Most people already know, but I'm going to Manchester to study for 3 months!! Weeeeee.... I booked tickets on Thursday and I leave on the 9th September and get back on 11th Feb after doing some assorted travels around Europe and the US. Awesome.
Also, on a related note visas suck. If anyone can tell me that they know for sure whether or not I need one that would be totally awesome.

I'm booking a bus, which incidentally leaves 2:10am Boxing Day to come home from Narrandera. But I was reading the clauses in the agreement thing and found this one particularly humoursome... "PERSONAL HYGIENE Passengers must be sufficiently washed and clean prior to boarding the coach. Any passenger with an odour that is objectionable to other passengers or staff may be asked to bathe themselves prior to boarding and/or may be required to travel on another service. If this change incurs a fee, it will be borne by the passenger."
OH MY GOODNESS. OH MY GOODNESS. OH.MY.GOOD.NESS.
I know that I hate this thing and don't use it and whatever, BUT best news for awesomeness ever.
Today I found out that
a) Dropkick Murphys are touring Australia (this I knew) but they're playing 29th March at the roundhouse b) Flogging Molly are touring Australia and playing some festivals (this I also knew) but they're playing a side show 7th April at the metro theatre c) And just now I found out that The Bronx are touring Australia (rumours I'd heard) and are playing 28th Feb at the annandale hotel
WINNAR IS ME!!! That's like 3 of my most awesome bands ever.
Before I was mega tired and now I'm not going to be able to sleep....

So the other week I was walking to uni and there was this mega pile of material and I wasn't sure if it was just for anyone or what. So I said to myself that if it was there on my way back from uni I'd yoink it. I can't really remember if it wasn't there, actually I think that I might have ended up in the city that night and then caught the train home instead. Anyway, point of the story was that I didn't get it. The yesterday about 10 I was walking to uni again and I saw this mega pile of magazines (Vogue and horrible girly magazines that I'd never buy but which are exceptionally good for finding images for design related endeavours) so I rang Bron and asked her to get them for me if they were still there when she was on lunch. I knew that I wouldn't be back until after 6 and I wanted those magazines. And got them I did.. many many many magazine... very much good
Also I want exorbitantly overpriced badges from here!

I had to buy a doll to deface... it's for an assignment, and after having no luck with Jen yesterday looking at $2-shops around Newtown I went to Paddy's Markets yesterday afternoon. I bought a cheap barbie rip off, so much of a ripoff that it had images that clearly showed the barbie logo on a doll that was called "Jennifer's style doll". Anyway the writing on the box was hilarious
P.S don't you love how much last post was about how stupid that website was about child labour and then this post was about how I bought a cheapo child labour doll and it was hilarious. Watch my morals soar... hmmmm Wed, Apr. 19th, 2006, 11:38 am
I have an assignment for uni in which I have to make a minature door, so I'm looking up websites for people who make dolls furniture to see if I can work out how on earth to do it (suggestions welcome) anyway I came across this from here." A good tip for furniture is to buy imported doll house furniture cheap and refinish it even though it's new (SMC has a nice selection of inexpensive "imported furniture" see BUSINESS SOURCES). Buy a $1.30 chair, and sand and give it a coat of good polyurethane to make it into a $6.95 (retail) chair instead of the suggested retail of $3.95. Much imported doll house furniture is mass produced by children or untrained workers. It is poorly sanded and lightly coated with varnish or other inexpensive finish (even shoe polish!). Their materials and tools are often poor quality and the finishes usually look and feel rough. Their wood, however, is usually excellent (good wood is cheap overseas). " It's not that I didn't know that it was made by children, but rather that the website is suggesting that you should buy off the child labour people because it will be more cost effective for you. Huzzah for morals.
The West Wing... it's true.
